The Isando Improvement District (CID) is a voluntary membership association which is established for and on behalf of the business community in Isando. The association is formed to address issues of mutual interest in the area to enhance and promote the physical and social environment.

The CID is currently an informal arrangement between the founding members who contribute by sponsoring specific activities such as grass cutting, litter picking and disposal. Businesses within the boundary are invited to join on an informal basis. The CID will be formalised by members once sufficiently representative membership is achieved for the area within the initial boundary.

“The founding members were concerned about the rising insurance costs due to increasing crime and concerns for employee safety in the area. Protecting property value and the attractiveness of the area as an industrial precinct were other important considerations”.

We operate exclusively over public space and are in partnership with the Isando property owners and the City of Ekurhuleni.
